After not playing for the last three week due to bad weather the Mossley Academy team were back in action on Wednesday afternoon as the Lilywhites youngsters hosted Warrington Town at Seel Park.
Mossley didn't waste anytime in scoring as Warrington cleared a Mossley corner that came to Connor Yeoman on the edge of the box and the speedy winger blasted the ball home just seven minutes in.
The lively Mossley Academy didn't stop there as ten minutes later, the amazing Beckham Adelaje went on a mazy run beating six Warrington players before calmly slotting home Mossley's second.
The Academy kept the pressure up and were gifted another goal when Prince Owusu smashed home a third from close range to go into half time 3-0 up.
A slow start to the Second half by Mossley allowed Warrington a foothold in the game and they were made to pay when a long ball found Euan Woods who pulled a goal back for Warrington just four minutes into the half.
Warrington were finding their feet and when the Mossley keeper punched the ball out to the edge of the box following a corner the ball went straight to Woods who scored a decent overhead kick to make it 3-2.
Shaky times for mossley and with 20 minutes remaining Warrington amazingly got back on level terms when Owen Oakley smashed home a third from close range, 3-1 and game on.
Mossley then stepped up the pressure and with ten minutes of the game to go Owusu took on the defender and passed it to Antonio Din Chin for a tap in to make it 4-3.
The scoring wasn't finihsed there though as Declan Lewis scored straight from a corner kick with the wind taking it straight into the back of the net to make it 5-3 mossley.
Lewis then made sure of the three points as he was picked out in the box with a brilliant cross from yeoman. Taking the ball on his chest before placing a firm shot into the bottom corner to retsore the three goal cushion and complete the scoring at 6-3 and all 3 points to the Mossley Academy.
